Alan Sheehan Signs for Bradford City
Bradford City Football Club have today confirmed that influential defender Alan Sheehan has become the fourth summer signing having signed a two year contact. The Irishman will officially join up with his new team mates on the 1st July when his currently contract with Notts County expires.
Sheehan, who played 44 games for Notts County last season, also captained the side during the campaign and won the Player of the Year award, whilst predominately playing in the left back position Sheehan can also play as a central defender.
Sheehan said: “When I spoke to the manager, he told me the plans he had for the club. He didn’t really need to sell the place to be honest though, everyone knows what a big club Bradford is and I’m delighted to be part of the manager’s plans. I can’t wait to get started now with pre-season and to meet all the boys.”
Alan should fit straight into the squad, as he has already played alongside Gary Liddell at Notts County and he was part of the Swindon Town Play-Off team in 2010 with Stephen Darby, he is also friends with fellow Irishman Mark Yeates.
