Clarets Train At Carrington (Manchester)
Burnley will be joining Premier League rivals United and City tomorrow when they move training grounds to training in Manchester because their own training ground has frozen pitches.
Burnley’s Gawthorpe training base has been hit by freezing temperatures in the Lancashire hills, meaning the first team will train at City’s former Carrington training complex on the outskirts of Manchester.
Manchester City left Carrington earlier this season to move to their new two hundred million pound Etihad Campus training facility. Carrington has already been used by Burnley’s youth team and development squad in recent weeks and the first team will train in Trafford tomorrow ahead of their clash with West Brom on Sunday.
Manchester United’s AON Training Complex is just down the road, so United academy graduates Tom Heaton, David Jones and Michael Keane will be among those in familiar surroundings. Former City trainees Kieran Trippier and Ben Mee will also be back on their old stomping ground.
