Steven Davies Signs From Blackpool
Bradford City have today confirmed the signing of Steven Davies on a one-year contract after the striker left Blackpool at the end of last season. The forward joined his new City team-mates this morning for training at Apperley Bridge.
Davies started his career with his local side Tranmere Rovers before the 6’1″ stiker move to Pride Park in 2008 to join Derby County. After seven seasons he moved south to join Bristol City were he scored thirteen goals in his one season at Ashton Gate.
He then moved to Bloomfield Road in 2013, were he joined the likes of Billy Clarke, Francois Zoko, Tom McMahon at Blackpool.
Speaking about his first summer signing manager Phil Parkinson said, “Steven is a very technical player with quality in his all round game and he has a great left foot.
He has played all of his career in the Championship apart from a loan breif loan spell at Sheffield United last season.
At only twenty-seven years old, he still has alot of football ahead of him and we have got ourselves a very talented player”
