Bradford City Sign Josh Morris
Bradford City have this afternoon confirmed the signing of midfielder Josh Morris on a free transfer from Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Morris has signed a 3 year contract at Valley Parade after leaving Ewood Park on a free transfer, although Blackburn have also included a sell-on fee as part of the deal.
He is the club’s second summer signing and at present both players have come over the border from Lancashire, after Steven Davies joined from Blackpool yesterday.
Speaking about the signing Bradford manager Phil Parkinson said, “We are delighted to have Josh on board, we have tracked his progress for some time and he enjoyed a good season in Sky Bet League One at Fleetwood Town last year.
He scored eight goals last season from midfield for Fleetwood, making him one of the top scorers at the club, Josh will add something extra to the club and we look forward to working with him.”
Despite having spent the last year and a half at Fleetwood Town, Morris still managed to play over twenty games for Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League and Championship.
Before Joining Fleetwood on loan from Blackburn, the former England U20 International had loans spells with Rotherham United, Carlisle United and Yeovil Town.
