Bantams Sign Brad Jones

Bradford City have today confirmed the signing of former Liverpool goalkeeper Brad Jones on a one year contract.  Jones joins Phil Parkinson’s squad after arriving on a free transfer after being released by Liverpool in the summer.

The Australian finalised his move to the club this morning at Apperley Bridge training ground, were he joined his new team mates for the first time.

Jones started his career at Middlesbrough playing in the Premier League before enjoying loan spells at Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday.  He then transferred to Liverpool in the summer of 2010 for £2.3 million.

Despite spending five years at Liverpool, Jones has only made 27 senior appearances in the Premier League and European cup games, he has also enjoyed a loan spell at Derby County.  Jones has also been capped for his country at U20 & U23 levels.

Jones will now be included in Phil Parkinson squad for the home game against Gillingham at the Coral Windows Stadium on Tuesday evening.
