Bradford City in talks with Devante Cole
Bradford City are set to win the race to sign ex-Manchester City striker Devante Cole, according to a sources close to the club. Cole has come through the ranks at Manchester City since joining the club at the age of seven, but did not make a first-team appearance for the club.
Cole, son of former England international Andrew, was a regular in the Elite Development Squad at the Etihad Stadium and was a prolific goalscorer in the youth teams.
The 20-year-old enjoyed two successful spells out on loan at Barnsley and MK Dons last season, scoring five goals in 19 games at Oakwell and three in 14 games for MK Dons as he helped them win promotion to the Championship.
Cole had trial spells at West Ham United and Birmingham City earlier this summer after the player decided to leave City in search of regular first-team football.
A number of League One and Scottish Premiership sides have shown an interest in signing Cole this summer, but Bradford have moved to bring him to Valley Parade.
