Luke O’Neill Signs For Southend United

Burnley Football Club have this morning confirmed that they have released defender Luke O’Neill’s from his contract by mutual consent.  The defender, who joined the club from Mansfield Town in 2012, made one league appearance for the club, replacing Kieran Trippier in a 2-0 victory against Ipswich Town.

As transfer deadline closes this evening at 6.00pm Luke O’Neill has wasted no time in finding his a new club, signing for Phil Brown’s Southend United on a two year contract just one hour after being released by Burnley Football Club.
