Oli McBurnie Scores Hat-Trick on Debut

Former Bradford City striker Oli McBurnie has had a busy few days, after completing a loan move from Swansea City to Newport County on Thursday, McBurnie came off the bench today to score a hat-trick in just 23 minutes.

The 19 year-old striker scored just five minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute from a low cross.

McBurnie’s second goal came from close range after Alex Rodman’s shot was fumbled, he collected his hat-trick after a mistake from Luton Town goalkeeper Mark Tyler.

This was Newport’s first home win in 8 months and the 3 points take County 7 points clear of the relegation zone.
