Stuart McCall Appointed City Manager
Bradford City have today confirmed that Stuart McCall has been appointed manager for the second time on a two year deal. McCall who was previously manager at Valley Parade between 2007-2010, replaces Phil Parkinson who left for Bolton Wanderers on 9th June.
McCall has also played for the Bantams in two previous spells appearing in the Premier League for the club. McCall has been out of work since having a short spell as Glasgow Rangers manager in 2015.
Speaking about the appointment joint-chairman Stefan Rupp said, “Stuart’s fondness for Bradford City is evidently deep rooted. He deserves this opportunity and I know the fans will join me in wishing him every success.
Since his first spell as manager of Bradford City, Stuart has proven his credentials during a very successful spell at Motherwell and in the last couple of years has gained international coaching experience as assistant to Gordon Strachan with Scotland.
Whilst we considered a number of high calibre applicants for the post of manager, we were clearly of the view that Stuart was the best man to take the club on and we look forward to working with him.”
