Burnley Reject Second Leicester Offer For Keane
Burnley Football Club have today rejected a second offer for defender Michael Keane, the second offer is believed to have been a club record £15million, the Lancashire Telegraph understands.
The current Premier League champions want Keane as cover for established pair Robert Huth and Wes Morgan. However the Clarets are desperate to hold on to Keane, who played 44 times, scored five goals last season as the Clarets clinched the Championship title to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
The former Manchester United youngster, who arrived at Turf Moor in September 2014 was the target of a £7 million pound bid from Stoke City in the January transfer window and he has also attracted interest from Everton this summer.
The offer from the Foxes is more than double Burnley’s record fee received of £7 million pound the club pocketed from Southampton for Jay Rodriguez four years ago.
