Clarets Chasing Hendrick
According to reports from Sky Sports, Burnley have made another offer for Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick. The Clarets had their original bid of £3 million rejected earlier this month, but the Clarets have returned with an improved offer.
It is understood Burnley have offered cash, along with two of their defenders James Tarkowski and Tendayi Darikwa who would move to the Ipro Stadium on loan.
Hendrick’s reputation was boosted after impressing for the Republic of Ireland during the Euro 2016 Finals this summer in France. The 24-year-old has played for Derby County since 2011 and has two years left on his contract.
New Rams manager Nigel Pearson is keen to keep Hendrick with the Championship club, who rejected Burnley’s initial offer for the player because they felt it was hugely under his market value.
