Clarets Chasing Robbie Brady
Premier League Burnley are set to make a £12 million move for Norwich City and Republic of Ireland winger Robbie Brady.
Burnley managed to claim the Championship title last season in comfortable fashion and one of the main reasons behind the Clarets’ success was the fact that the core of their squad has remained intact over the last few years.
Therefore, many expect Burnley to do well in the Premier League as well but in order to avoid relegation; the Clarets will in all probability have to strengthen their squad.
Currently the Clarets have been very quiet in the transfer market and have only spent a combined total of around £3.5m on the duo of Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope.
While Burnley’s reluctance to spend over the odds is admirable, they will probably need a marquee signing in order to give the fans a lift and manager Sean Dyche seems to be planning to do just that by acquiring the services of Norwich City star Robbie Brady.
According to reports emerging out of Ireland, Burnley are keen on signing the Republic of Ireland international this summer and the Clarets are expected to be making their move in the coming days.
Brady is valued at around £12 million by Norwich and Burnley are said to be ready to match the asking price in order to land the services of the 24-year-old this summer.
