Clarets Sign Patrick Bamford
Burnley Football Club have today confirmed the signing of Patrick Bamford from Chelsea on a season long loan. Bamford has spent a brief loan spell in the Premier League with Crystal Palace where he made six Premier League appearances for the Eagles.
Bamford spent the 2014-15 campaign on loan at Middlesbrough were he scored 17 goals in 38 Sky Bet Championship appearances, he was also named the Sky Bet Championship Young Player of the Year.
He has also had loan spells with MK Dons, Derby County, Middlesbrough and Norwich City. Born in Nottingham, the former Forest academy man has represented England up to U21 level and narrowly missed out on Gareth Southgate’s 2015 European Championship squad through injury.
Bamford will now spend the rest of this season on loan with Burnley and will be part of Sean Dyche’s squad when Hull City visit Turf Moor on the 10th September 2016.
