Bradford City Sign Newcastle Striker Vuckic on Loan
Bradford City have this evening confirmed the loan signing of striker Haris Vuckic from Sky Bet Championship side Newcastle United. Vuckic has already played under City boss Stuart McCall once before during a loan spell with Scottish giants Glasgow Rangers.
Whilst at Ibrox, Vuckic scored nine times for Rangers helping them to the Scottish Championship Play-Offs. Vuckic has also featured eighteen times for parent club Newcastle’s first team in the EFL Cup, Premier League, UEFA Europa League and Championship.
The imposing 6′ 1” Slovenian international can play in a number of positions in forward areas, including attacking midfielder, on the wing, or as a main striker. He has also played in the Championship earlier in his career during a loan spell with Cardiff City.
Vuckic has twice won promotion out of League One, once whilst on loan at Rotherham United in the 2013/2014 campaign and once while on loan with Wigan Athletic last season.
