Bury Appointed Chris Brass as Head Coach

Former Clarets defender Chris Brass has been appointed head coach of Bury Football Club following the sacking of David Flitcroft.  Brass is well known at the club have been on the staff as head of operations for a number of years, he has also played for the club and had a previous spell as caretaker manager in 2008.

This is his second spell the second time that he has been in charge at Gigg Lane Chairman Stewart Day has, today, confirmed the appointment of Chris Brass as Head Coach and Ryan Kidd as Assistant Head Coach.

Speaking in Saturday’s match day programme, Chairman Stewart Day said, “I am delighted to say that I have now appointed Chris Brass as Head Coach and Ryan Kidd Assistant Head Coach as, I believe, that we have the opportunity to take the club forward from appointing from within.

As I said, I wanted to reflect on where we are as a club and look at how we can improve and that goes as a business as a whole. There are several things that, I believe, we can improve on and off the field and this is why I felt that by going with Chris and Ryan we are able to get back on track.”
