Clarets Youngster Ginnelly Catching The Eye
Burnley youngster Josh Ginnelly is wanted by a trio of midland clubs, the Clarets winger has impressed this season in his loan spell at Walsall which has alerted Leicester City, West Brom and Aston Villa to the highly rated Burnley midfielder.
Ginnelly started his career at Shrewsbury Town but was quickly snapped up by Sean Dyche in the summer of 2015. Since then the speedy winger has had two loan spells away from Turf Moor with Altrincham in the National Conference and Walsall in Sky Bet League One.
Ginnelly has yet to make his first-team debut for Burnley, but he has been a consistent performer for the club’s under-21s and is well thought of within the corridors of power at Turf Moor.
Ginnelly enjoyed a successful spell at Altrincham last January scoring 5 goals in 20 appearances as Burnley wanted him to gain some valuable first-team experience.
The 19-year-old spent the first half of this season on loan at League One Walsall and he caught the eye with the Saddlers, making 14 appearances for the club before returning to Burnley earlier this month.
Ginnelly still has 18 months to run on his Burnley contract and the Clarets are keen to keep hold of the skilful wide man.
