Charlie Taylor Set to Join Clarets Tomorrow

Burnley Football Club will complete the signing of Leeds United left back Charlie Taylor tomorrow when his  current contract expires. The fee will be set by a transfer tribunal after discussions failed to reach an agreement, with Leeds United looking for £5 million in compensation.

West Bromwich Albion were also hoping to signing the young left-back, but pulled out after failing to agree a fee with Leeds United.  Taylor was a Clarets target last summer having finishing as Leeds player-of-the-year, that after submitting a transfer request at the start of last season, however owner Massimo Cellino refused to let him leave.

Taylor refused to play in Leeds United’s final game of the campaign at Wigan Athletic, but was offered a new two-year deal to stay at Elland Road.  He is expected to join up with the squad at the Barnfield Training Centre on Wednesday for the start of pre-season training and will compete with Stephen Ward for the left back slot.
