Leeds United Reject Chris Wood Bid

Burnley Bid for Chris Wood Rejected

Leeds United Football Club have this evening confirmed they have rejected a £12 million bid from Burnley Football Club for New Zealand International striker Chris Wood.


Wood, started his career in his homeland with Waikato FC and Hamilton Wanderers before moving to England to play for Premier League side West Bromwich Albion. The striker then had six loan spells with Barnsley, Brighton Hove Albion, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Millwall and Leicester City.

A permanent move to Leicester City followed were the striker made 52 appearances, scoring 12 goals.  Wood then joined Leeds United for £3 million and has scored 41 goals in 81 appearances for the Elland Road club, including a goal against Bolton Wanderers on the opening day of this season in a 3-2 win.
