Guiseley AFC Name Paul Cox As Manager
Guiseley AFC have this afternoon have announced the appointment of Paul Cox as the new manager of the club with immediate effect. The board confirmed they received a large number applications for the vacant managerial role, however once discussions had taken place with Paul he was our first choice to take over from Adam Lockwood.
Paul is rightly regarded as one of the top managers at this level and we look forward to a long and successful period with him at the helm as we embark on our three to five-year plan where we intend to make sure that the club continues to thrive.
Paul will meet with the players and staff at training tomorrow, has a wide playing and football management experience having played for Notts County and Hull City in the Football League and then in the upper levels of the Non-League game.
As a manager he has had considerable success winning Championships with both Eastwood Town and Mansfield Town, taking them into the Football League. Most recently Paul has been in charge at Barrow where he enjoyed considerable success.
