Alfreton Town Loan Frank Mulhern
Guiseley AFC have today confirmed that striker Frank Mulhern has joined Vanarama National League North club Alfreton Town on a one month loan deal. Mulhern arrived at Nethermoor Park on trial during the pre-season and featured heavily before being rewarded with a contract.
Mulhern, turned professional with Leeds United in the summer of 2015 following a two-year scholarship; a deal he extended a year later. He then joined Huddersfield Town’s under-23 squad in February 2016. The striker then had a loan spell at Southport in the National League in September 2016 before finishing the season at Harrogate Town.
Alfreton Town Manager John McDermott said, “It’s a plyer that we’ve always been looking out for he’s bright and intelligent he reads the game well and has a great first touch. Frank’s a goal scorer, loves to link the play and has great movement. He’s been a lad always with great potential and he has it in abundance, people I’ve spoken to rate him highly. We want him to come and enjoy his football, he’s a fit lad, he just needs the minutes. He has excellent work rate and has blended in well with the group.”
