Burnley Interested in Ben Pearson
Burnley are interested in Preston North End midfielder Ben Pearson who began his career at Manchester United before moving to Deepdale in 2016. Pearson, has been the driving force behind Preston North End’s surprise challenge for promotion from the Sky Bet Championship where they currently stand ninth, three points of a play-off spot.
Preston manager Alex Neil has already signed Louis Moult and Billy Bodin in the January transfer window and has a bid in for England U20 international Ryan Ledson of Oxford United. A potential move from Burnley to sign Pearson would follow a trend previously set by the Turf Moor club.
In recent seasons Sean Dyche’s side have taken on the likes of Chris Eagles and Michael Keane, both highly rated talents from the United set-up. Keane’s development at Burnley turned out to be a resounding success, with the Clarets later selling him to Everton in a big money deal.
