West Ham United Interested In Scott Arfield
According to reports from The Independent newspaper West Ham United are interested in signing Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield in the January transfer window, with the Clarets midfielder out of contract in the summer. David Moyes is an admirer of Arfield and tried to sign him during his time as manager of Sunderland.
Arfield has been offered an extension to stay at Turf Moor, but is yet to accept the offer and West Ham are preparing an improved offer for the 29-year-old stalwart, who has spent five years at Burnley. It is said that the Hammers would be willing to pay close to £2million for the Scotland-born Canadian international.
This would be a strange move for West Ham, but an understandable one as they look to avoid relegation. Arfield has been a solid performer in his time at Burnley and he has Premier League experience, that is why David Moyes is looking to take him to London as he is dependable and experienced at the top-level.
