Guiseley Sign Victor Nirennold From Fleetwood
Guiseley AFC have the is morning confirmed the loan signing of French defender Victor Nirennold from Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town, as manager Paul Cox’s looks to strengthen his squad ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Wrexham.
The six-foot-four defender started his career in his homeland, France, in the youth system at Stade Rennes. Whilst in France Nirennold was offered a deal in the United States where he would study Business at Erskine College, as well as play for the college’s side, the Erskine Flying Fleet.
The defensive minded player then transferred to Nova Southeastern University, again playing for their college side, before signing for Premier Development side FC Miami City at the start of the 2015 season, were he made 15 appearances. After a trial in August 2015 he signed a two-year contract with Sky Bet League One side Fleetwood Town and made his debut for the Cod Army against Rochdale.
Nirennold will now be at Nethermoor Park on loan until the end of the season and the Lions continue their fight to stay in the Vanarama National League.
