Grimsby Town Appoint Michael Jolly As Manager

Grimsby Town have appointed Michael Jolley as the club’s new manager, he takes over from caretaker boss Paul Wilkinson after Russell Slade’s sacking last month.  Jolly who was the U23 Head Coach at Burnley under Sean Dyche for three years left last year to take his first management post at AFC Eskilstuna in Sweden last year.


Speaking about being appointed manager said, “It’s a great honour to have been named as the new manager of Grimsby Town FC.  I am extremely grateful to John Fenty and the board for showing faith in me in giving this opportunity.  To all the Grimsby Town fans who have got in touch, thank you for giving me such a positive impression of your fantastic club. Genuinely, it will be a privilege to serve you.’

The Mariners who are winless in the last fourteen matches will have Wilkinson in charge  today for their Sky Bet League Two trip to Carlisle United.
