Anders Lindegaard Signs New Turf Moor Contract
Burnley Football Club have this morning confirmed that goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard has signed a new contract to keep him at the club until June 2019, after terms have been agreed to remain a senior member of Sean Dyche’s squad.
Lindegaard, joined the Clarets as a free agent last summer and is yet to make a senior appearance for the club. But the former Manchester United and Danish international keeper has played a key role as part of the goalkeeping unit working under Billy Mercer.
Lindegaard has been on the bench for the past 27 Premier League games, providing back-up for Nick Pope in the absence of injured club captain Tom Heaton, with Heaton closing in on a return to first-team contention and Lindegaard signed up, the Clarets’ goalkeeping department remains in safe hands.
