Clarets Chasing Christopher Jullien
Burnley are believed to be chasing towering Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien. The 6ft 4ins centre-back impressed last season as his club secured Ligue 1 survival. However the Clarets face competition from Southampton, Crystal Palace and Dutch giants Ajax for the former France U20 International.
He began his career with Auxerre and went on to play for Germans Freiburg whilst also having a loan spell with Dijon before a £2.5million move to Toulouse in 2016. His value has since soared to around £9m with a series of commanding displays at the back for Toulouse. He made 36 appearances last season, scoring twice.
Jullien, is under contract with Toulouse until 2021 with the southwestern French club secured their top-flight status by beating Ajaccio 4-0 in a two-leg playoff. Meanwhile Bournemouth are poised to sell striker Max Gradel to Toulouse for around £3m. The Ivory Coast international shone last season on loan to the French outfit, heading their scoring charts with 11 in all competitions.
