City Club Doctor Fights For His Life

Dr Vince Cavaliere In Critical Condition

Bradford City club doctor Vince Cavaliere is fighting for his life in hospital after he was involved in a crash with a car on Friday last week. He suffered serious injuries when he was cycling along Moor Road, Ilkley and is described as being in a critical condition.

Dr Cavaliere, was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment after the crash which happened at 9.00pm travelling towards Ilkley from the direction of Burley Woodhead at round 9.00pm in the evening.  Dr Cavaliere was travelling on a Boardman bike that was involved in an accident with a Landrover Discovery travelling in the same direction.

He has been the club doctor at Valley Parade for over twenty-five years joining the club in 1992, he also works as a GP at Idle Medical Centre serving the local community, loved by the players and staff at Bradford City and within his Idle community lead to messages on social media from players and the general public.

Another added, “One of the few doctors there who was able to listen and give a quick diagnosis. Bad news for the community, terrible news for his family, thinking of them.”
