Former Lion Lawlor Joins Salford City
Salford City have this afternoon confirmed the signing of centre-back Jake Lawlor on a free transfer, following his release from Guiseley AFC at the end of last season. Lawlor made 24 appearances for the Lions last season in the Vanarama National League, before being loaned out to AFC Fylde on transfer deadline.
Lawlor, started his career in the Northern Premier League with Ossett Town and then Harrogate Railway Athletic, before moving to Guiseley midway through the 2012-2013 season. He was part of the Lions side that secured promotion to the National League 2015, scoring during the play-off win over AFC Fylde.
Speaking about his latest signing Salford City manager Graham Alexandra said, “Jake is an excellent addition to the squad, he gives us different options as he can play in either midfield or at centre-back. He also has experience in the National League after playing there with Guiseley for the last two seasons.
