Guiseley AFC Confirm Kingsley James Signing
Guiseley AFC have today confirmed the signing of midfielder Kingsley James on a two year contract from Chester City. He joined Barrow on loan last season he played a key role in assisting the Bluebirds avoid relegation from the Vanarama National League.
The England C international, started his career at Sheffield United where he captained the likes of Kyle Walker, before moving on to Port Vale in 2011. He then had a loan spell at Chasetown and Hereford United before leaving the Valiants to sign for Hereford United on a permanent basis.
James then joined Chester for the first time in June 2014 before moving on to FC Halifax Town in July 2015, where he played in the 2016 FA Trophy final win over Grimsby Town before his move to Macclesfield Town in July 2016. He also featured in the FA Trophy Final for the second year running in 2017, but this time was on the losing side as York City beat Macclesfield Town 3-2.
Kingsley James is expected to make his home debut in tonight’s pre-season friendly against Bradford City at Nethermoor Park.
