George Green Completes Move to Chester
Chester Football Club have this afternoon confirmed the signing of attacking midfielder George Green from Nuneaton Borough for an undisclosed fee. Green started his career with Bradford City before an initial £300,000 move to Everton at the age of fifteen.
His senior debut came whilst on loan at Tranmere Rovers scoring on his debut against AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League Two in March 2015. Later that year he left Everton and had spells at Oldham Athletic and Ossett Albion before a move back to the Premier League to join Burnley.
Whilst at Burnley, he was loaned out to Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League in 2016 and then Salford City in the Vanarama National League North were he worked with joint-managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley in 2017.
At leaving Turf Moor he had a short three-month spell with FC Viking (Norway) before returning to the UK. In February 2018, he joined Nuneaton and made 14 appearances scoring 2 goals during an impressive spell at the back-end of last season.
