Filip Kostic Could Be A January Signing
Burnley will renew their interest in Hamburg winger Filip Kostic in January if he is still with the German club at the next transfer window. The Clarets missed out on a deadline day swoop for the Serbian international, but the club remains to bring him to Turf Moor.
He was widely expected to leave Die Rothosen this summer after Hamburg’s relegation to Bundesliga 2 admit reports in Germany that he could be available for a cut-price fee. He has also been linked with Wolfsburg, Valencia and Florentina and with the transfer windows in Europe still open he could yet depart the Volksparkstadion.
Kostic, played all three group games for Serbia during the World Cup and he has now won 26 International caps for his country. After coming through the ranks at Serbian club Radnicki 1923 he moved to Holland with Groningen in June 2012 and scored 12 goals in 48 appearances for the club.
Ahead of the 2014/15 season Kostic moved to VfB Stuttgart and after eight goals in 63 appearances he made a €14Million switch to Hamburg in the summer of 2015.
