Huddersfield Town Chasing Tom Heaton
Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has confirmed the club have already made contact with Burnley Football Club over a deal to sign England International goalkeeper Tom Heaton in January transfer window.
Heaton, meanwhile has fallen down the pecking order at Turf Moor since the arrival of Joe Hart from Manchester City, the three-time England international is desperate to leave Turf Moor, where another Three Lions shot-stopper Nick Pope is also employed.
Heaton’s contract has only eighteen month left to run and with both Hart and Pope at the club the Clarets could be temped into selling the club captain. A move to Huddersfield Town who are based just twenty-five miles east of Burnley could appeal to Heaton.
Jonas Lossl and Ben Hamer have shared the Terriers’ goalkeeping duties this season and Huddersfield Town currently have the Premier League’s fourth worst defence, leaving them third from bottom of the table.
