Guiseley Duo Extend Loan Deals

Jo Cummings & Louis Walsh Available For FA Cup Selection

Guiseley have today confirmed that both Jo Cummings and Louis Walsh are available for selection in this weekends Emirates FA Cup game against Fleetwood Town after extending their loan deals with the club.

Cummings, an imposing centre-back initially joined the club on a month’s loan from Charlton Athletic. Having linked up with the Addicks from Sheffield United towards the end of the 2016/17 season, following a successful trial. He netted a goal on his debut for Charlton U23’s he quickly became an important member of the Charlton Development Squad that retained the Professional Development League two South title. Cummings came through the Academy at Sheffield United to make his senior debut for the Blades when coming on as a substitute in 4–2 victory over Grimsby Town in an English Football League Trophy match in November 2016.

Barnsley U-23 prospect Walsh joined Guiseley on a one-month loan from Barnsley FC and made an excellent debut at Darlington. He signed for Barnsley in July 2018 after some fine performances at U-23 level during the 2017/18 campaign. Blessed with incredible pace and terrific technique, the flying winger ghosts past defenders with consummate ease and frequently provides teammates with assists while contributing with goals himself.

Both players will be looking to play a part in Monday’s game as Guiseley make history by playing in Emirates FA Cup Second Round for two successive seasons.
