Sean Dyche Interested In Preston Midfielder Ben Pearson
Burnley Football Club have this weekend been in talks with Lancashire rivals Preston North End about the possible signing of midfielder Ben Pearson who began his career at Manchester United before moving to Deepdale in 2016.
Pearson, has been a driving force behind North End’s surprise challenge for promotion from the Sky Bet Championship where they currently stand ninth, just three points of a play-off position. Manager Alex Neil is looking for around £11M for the midfielder to move to Turf Moor.
A potential move from Burnley would follow a trend previously set by the Turf Moor club. In recent seasons Sean Dyche’s side have taken on the likes of Chris Eagles and Michael Keane, both highly rated talents from the United academy. Michael Keane’s development at Burnley turned out to be a resounding success with the Clarets later selling him for £30M to Everton Football Club.
