Calum Woods Joins Bradford City from Preston North End
Bradford City have this morning confirmed the signing defender Calum Woods until at least the end of the current season. Woods, can play in either full-back roles left-back joins the club from Sky Bet Championship side Preston North End where he has spent the last five seasons having signed from Huddersfield Town in 2014.
The Liverpool born full-back has made more than 300 career appearances and is delighted to be joining the Bantams. Speaking about joining the club Calum Woods said, “As soon as I knew Bradford City were interested I wanted to come and play. I have played in Sky Bet League One before, as well as having enjoyed a few promotions into the Championship, so will bring some experience with me.
Bradford City is a massive club and everybody knows the club are not where we want to be at the minute but hopefully we can start to push ourselves up the table. There is a lot of competition for places at the back which is always healthy in a big squad. I am excited to get going and it will be a different challenge for me but an exciting one. I remember the atmosphere at Valley Parade from a few years back and I am chomping at the bit to play there in front of the club’s fantastic home support.”
