Stoke City Renew Interest In Sam Vokes
Stoke City have a made an enquiry over a potential £9million move for Burnley striker Sam Vokes. The Wales international was on the bench for this weekends FA Cup tie at Manchester City and could be allowed to leave for the right price.
Vokes, who signed for the Turf Moor club from Wolverhampton Wanderers in June 2012, has played a part in two promotion-winning campaigns of 2013/14 and 2015/16. But he is keen for more starting opportunities and open to the challenge of helping Stoke City get into the play-offs.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche is looking to freshen up his attacking options and has considered Tottenham Hotspurs Vincent Janssen who is available for around £15m. Whilst the new Stoke City manager Nathan Jones wants to revitalise his squad with a couple of new faces including Sam Vokes and defenders Matt Clarke (Portsmouth) and Jonas Knudsen (Ipswich Town) among those being considered.
