Clarets Scouting Bolton Wanderers Midfielder Luca Connell
Burnley Football Club are among the clubs who will be watching seventeen year old Bolton Wanderers midfielder Luca Connell against Reading in the Sky Bet Championship tonight. Connell, who made an assist on his first senior start against Bristol City in the FA Cup on Friday has only six months left on his contract. As a result Bolton may be pressed to sell this week because of their worrying financial situation.
Three other Premier League clubs including Tottenham, Southampton and Brighton Hove Albion have also expressed interest in Connell, who may be given his first league start by Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson, who was in charge at Bradford City when current Burnley CEO David Baldwin held the same post at Valley Parade which could be an advantage for the Clarets.
