Unai Emery Chasing Clarets Goalkeepers Nick Pope
Arsenal Football Club are ready to make an offer for Clarets goalkeeper Nick Pope in the summer transfer window. England World Cup squad man Pope has lost his place in the Clarets side since dislocating his shoulder at Aberdeen in the Europa League.
Tom Heaton is now first choice at Turf Moor after returning from his own injury, with Joe Hart as the current back up goalkeeper. However boss Sean Dyche admits that one keeper will have to leave Turf Moor this summer and sources reveal that will be either Nick Pope or Joe Hart, with both Arsenal and Tottenham chasing Pope he could be favourite to leave.
Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen to add a goalkeeper to the squad as a replacement for the retiring Petr Cech. Arsenal will only have a Number two vacancy to offer Nick Pope or any other keeper they bring in though there is a chance to dislodge Bernd Leno if his form falters. A move to London where he made his name at Charlton athletic might give him a second chance. Burnley would want around £10million for Nick Pope but Arsenal have several fringe players they could put into the deal.
