Clarets Interested In Belgium Striker Benito Raman
According to reports in this weeks Sportbild, the Clarets have had a number of scouting missions to watch Fortuna Düsseldorf’s Belgian striker Benito Raman. The striker from Ghent has scored four goals and made three assists in his past five matches. He’d been in and out of the team at Fortuna Düsseldorf this season, but has still managed to find the back of the net ten times.
The German magazine says the Clarets have sent an official to watch the player in the Bundesliga, it’s even claimed that Burnley are regulars, with it being made clear it’s Raman who is getting the attention. As for Raman himself, he’s concentrating on his German club right now, but has made it clear he would like a move to England, he has been quoted as saying, “It’s my goal to play at Premier League someday. I think it’s the best league in the world.”
Fortuna director Lutz Pfannenstiel, a name you may recognise from his long career as a footballer, “We have no official request, but we know many clubs are asking about him.”
Raman is very experienced at Belgium national youth levels, should he get called up to the senior team then his profile will rise further. Currently the Bundesliga side would be looking for around Fifteen Million Euro’s to sign the striker.
