Youngster Dylan Barkers In Leicester City Trial
Leicester City have stepped up their hunt for fresh talent by taking three non-league teenagers on trial at the club. Leicester City U23’s selected midfielder Dylan Barkers in their 6-0 demolition by Liverpool on Sunday, while Hastings United pair Jamie Fielding and Adam Lovatt are set to train with the club this week.
Dylan Barkers arrived at the King Power Stadium from Vanarama National League North side Guiseley, having only joined the West Yorkshire side from Solihull Moors last month. The youngster has experience at centre-back and in the middle of the park, it was in the engine room that he featured for Steve Beaglehole’s development squad, playing ahead of Sidnei Tavares and alongside Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in a midfield three.
However, the rangy teenager who stands at 6ft 4ins was largely bypassed as Liverpool attacked down the flanks to create their opportunities. Barkers, was sacrificed after just thirty-seven minutes as Leicester City changed shape to try to stem the relentless Reds attacks. Dylan will continue to train with the Premier League side this week before any decision is made on his future.
