Guiseley AFC Sign Welsh Premier League Defender

Guiseley AFC Sign Defender Andrai Jones

Guiseley AFC have today confirmed the signing of Andrai Jones, the defender spent last season with Stafford Rangers and Bala Town in the Welsh Premier League.

Jones started his career in the youth team at Bury Football Club in 2010 and after a loan spell at Altrincham he joined Barnsley Football Club in January 2013. He had further loans at Tranmere Rovers and Alfreton Town before being released by Barnsley in July 2014, when he joined Gateshead.

The versatile player joined Southport in July 2015 and made 67 appearances for them before moving on to Stafford Rangers and Bala Town. Jones combines his playing career with his own business in Liverpool, coaching children aged 3 to 12 years.

Speaking about signing for Guiseley Andrai Jones said, “I am looking forward to joining up with Russ O’Neill once more. I was with Russ and Nicky Law at Alfreton Town in 2014 and Russ knows what I am about as a player. I am looking forward to meeting all the lads at Guiseley and I hope to have a successful season.

I know all about Guiseley as we played against them a number of times when I was a player at Southport, I am looking forward to pre-season as the club looks to have some good games lined up.”
