Settle Cricket Club Has Bright Future

Bradley Cricket Club v Settle Cricket Club (Upper Airedale Junior League)

Settle Cricket Club U11’s travelled to Bradley Cricket Club on the 6th June 2019 for a Upper Airedale Junior League fixture, the visitors won the toss and elected to bat at the Bradley Sports ground.

Settle Captain Thomas Caton opened the batting alongside Fraiser Lampkin as the visitors made fifty-one runs from their twenty overs, with Harvey Green top scoring for the visitors with ten runs.

Bradley Cricket club struggled with the bat all evening as opener and club captain Daniel Ridehaigh top scored with eight runs, whilst wicket keeper Joseph Davidson battled down the order making a further six runs, as the home side finished on forty-eight runs.

Settle’s bowling figures were outstanding as George Hopley took two wickets for eight runs from his two overs, whilst Jack Sanderson also took two wickets for just two runs from his two overs. However the Man of the Match performance came from Harvey Green who took four wickets for three runs from his three overs as well as top scoring with the bat.
