Clarets Interested In Bolton Wanderers Youngster

Harry Brockbank Added to Clarets Wanted List

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Premier League Burnley are hoping to snap up Bolton Wanderers defender Harry Brockbank this summer. The Trotters’ defender is a man in demand with a number of Championship clubs interested in signing him.

Sky Bet Championship outfit Brentford have been linked with him over the past month as well as Sky Bet League One clubs Sunderland and Ipswich Town. However it now appears that the Clarets could step in ahead of them and move him across Lancashire.

Brockbank, who is from Bolton, joined the Trotters as a youngster and has risen through their youth ranks. But he could leave Bolton Wanderers this summer for free following their relegation to League One. He made three appearances for Phil Parkinson’s side last season and also spent time on loan at Vanarama National League side Salford City to gain some first-team experience.

Brockbank is highly-rated by the Whites and is being tipped for a big future in the game. However his future at the University of Bolton Stadium is in doubt and he looks set for a move away this summer.

He is more likely to get first-team opportunities with the likes of Brentford, Ipswich Town or Sunderland but a move to the top flight may be too much to turn down for Brockbank. The Clarets are in the hunt for some youngsters this summer as they look to bolster their youth ranks.
