Clarets Striker Peter Crouch Calls Time On His Career

Clarets striker Peter Crouch has this morning has announced his retirement from football at the age of thirty-eight, calling time on a career which seen him capped forty-two times for England, scoring twenty-two international goals and find the back of the net one hundred and eight times in the Premier League over four hundred and sixty eight senior appearances for seven different clubs.

Speaking about his retirement Peter Crouch said, “I have had twenty-three years to prepare for this moment but now it’s here you realise nothing can prepare you at all for this moment. The time has come to refer to myself as a ‘former footballer; this incredible journey I have been on since I was sixteen is over. I collected memories and have stories that I will be able to tell my children’s children. This former footballer had the time of his life and it’s time to write the next chapters.”
