Nottingham Forest Interested In Clarets Defender Kevin Long
Nottingham Forest have officially inquired about the availablility of Clarets centre-back Kevin Long, the Republic of Ireland International wants to play more first-team football and is understood to be ready to leave the club in order to find regular first team action.
The Clarets could be set to see a number of changes in the central defensive position over the next week as the transfer deadline approaches with Leicester City interested in James Tarkowski to replace Manchester United bound Harry Maguire.
Burnley are also interested in bring former loanee and free agent Gary Cahill back to Turf Moor if Leicester City do decide to move for Tarkowski. The Clarets are also looking at several other targets with Kevin Long’s future in doubt.
Long, made just six Premier League appearances for the club last season at the start of the season as the Clarets suffered with injuries and there are number of Sky Bet Championship clubs understood to be interested in Kevin Long.
