Former Barnsley Academy Graduate Joins Lancaster City

Kieran Feeney Joins Lancaster City

Lancaster City have added former Wolves and Barnsley academy graduate Kieran Feeney to their ranks. The striker arrives after a short stint with Atherton Collieries where he gained good experience in the Bet Victor Northern Premier League.

He played under City’s assistant manager Graham Lancashire in the Academy at Burnley before being sold to Wolves in 2015, “he’s got all the attributes to be really successful at this level,” said Lancashire, “he’s still learning but he’s a good footballer and he’ll give us something different to our current attacking options.”

Feeney arrives just in time to be involved in the City squad for tomorrow’s Lancashire Challenge Trophy game at Charnock Richard which will be a boost for Mark Fell’s plans with Matt Blinkhorn and David Norris unlikely to feature and Jason Walker awaiting an operation on a knee problem.
