Former Clarets Boss Managing in the Indian Super League

Owen Coyle Named Chennaiyin Football Club Manager

Indian Super League Club Chennaiyin Football Club have today confirmed former Ross County, Blackburn Rovers, Houston Dynamo, Wigan Athletic, Bolton Wanderers and Burnley boss Owen Coyle as the clubs new manager.

Coyle, has joined Chennaiyin until the end of the season, replacing John Gregory who left on Saturday with Club currently second from bottom in the league. Coyle’s first match as manager will be away to Jamshedpur on 9th December 2019.

Speaking about his appointment Owen Coyle said, “I am incredibly proud to be joining Chennaiyin FC. It will be my immense privilege to join a club with so much success already in its early history with two ISL titles. I believe we possess a squad with great potential and the hunger to do well, complemented by an ardent fanbase always backing us. I can’t wait to get started.”
