Roy Hodgson Chasing Clarets Midfielder Dwight McNeil
According to reports in a number of national newspapaers, Crystal Palace are said to be interested in signing Burnley winger Dwight McNeil in the January transfer window as a replacement for Wilfried Zaha. The Eagles are huge fans of the England U21 International whose pace and trickery down the left make him the stand out man to fill Wilfried Zaha’s magic boots if the Ivorian leaves.

Zaha, failed to get his big-money transfer in the last window but his club are expecting more interest next month. Palace would still want a fortune for their talisman and are preparing alternatives if a move takes place. Chelsea are believed to be keen on Zaha as Pedro and Willian enter the final six months of their contracts. The Blues have had their transfer ban overturned and are able to spend big once the window reopens.
If Crystal Palace are relatively safe in the table before the end of the January window that may become the ideal time to cash in and the former Manchester United youth player could be a suitable replacement. McNeil has emerged as a top player in the past year since making his Clarets debut and there has been interest him the from both home & abroad.
However, if the Eagles are serious about signing the young Clarets midfield player it would take a much bigger fee then the current £20 Million figure the Londoners are currently considering offering the Turf Moor outfit.
