Clarets Interested In Signing Striker Vedat Muriqi
According to reports in the Milliyet newspaper, Burnley Football Club have made a €25Million Euro bid for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi. However Fenerbahce are concerned that selling the striker could harm their title hopes this season.
The Yellow-Navies board are still against selling Muriqi in the January transfer window but the fee being quoted is unlikely as it would break the Super Lig transfer record. The Fenerbahce board are reportedly wanting more than €25m for the Kosovo international. The fee being quoted would help the financially strapped club but they would have just a few days to find a replacement.
The report also claims that Manchester United also want the 1.94m tall striker and that United along with Tottenham Hotspur have scouted Muriqi several times this season. Muriqi, has scored thirteen times and provided five assists in all competitions this term for the Yellow Canaries. Fenerbahce are currently four points behind league leaders Sivasspor and Muriqi is top scorer for the Istanbul giants.
