Guiseley Loan Goalkeeper Joins Football League Side Carlisle United
Guiseley AFC have this afternoon confirmed that Marcus Dewhurst has been recalled from his loan spell at Nethermoor by his parent club Sheffield United. The goalkeeper has made twenty-one appearances since his return to Nethermoor in September and is highly rated by his club and The Lions management team.

Dewhurst, who is a fans favorite has kept six clean sheets and played a vital role in the clubs charge up the Vanarma National League (North) table. Marcus was called up to the England U19’s squad during his time at Guiseley AFC for their European Championship qualifying fixtures in Macedonia.
He has now been loaned out to Sky Bet League 2 side Carlisle United and their manager Chris Beech said, “It will be good for him to be around a professional team environment and to be pushing for a place in the squad every week. He’s played a lot of games at non league level already, so this is the natural next step for him. I’ve spoken to the FA staff as well as players who have played with him at international level and he is a very highly thought of young goalkeeper.”
